Water-Stop acts as a waterproofing film protected under coating, designed to form a continuous water barrier on floors and walls. It is suitable for flat roofs, terraces, balconies, swimming pools, planters, fountains, exterior surfaces and interior wet areas. On site, it works within a bonded system and is covered by the final coating, providing water tightness, resistance to root penetration, crack bridging capacity of up to 3 mm and performance as a vapor barrier in accordance with the requirements of CTE DB HS 1. It can also be used at temperatures between -20 ºC and +80 ºC, which allows its application in indoor and outdoor environments with different thermal and humidity requirements.
Water-Stop is manufactured with a multi-layer structure consisting of non-woven / double film / non-woven. The inner film is 100% copolymer EVA and the outer nonwoven is composed of 50% polyester and 50% polypropylene. The film has a mass of 260 g/m² and a nominal thickness of 0.5 mm. For fixing on traditional substrates, cement adhesive type C2 is used; for substrates such as plaster, existing ceramic or other materials, the compatibility of the adhesive with the substrate must be verified. For laying ceramic tiles or similar coverings on the sheet, cement glue type C2 is also used, while for wood finishes, textiles or other coverings, a specific adhesive compatible with the material and suitable for humidity must be used. C2 tile adhesive cement can be used for overlapping joints in showers and small interior surfaces that cannot be flooded; when maximum watertightness is required, the joints should be made with EASEAL polymer cement or with W-S MASTIC type adhesive sealant.
